Experience
Bill brings his extensive leadership experience to each client engagement. Having worked decades in privately held and family-owned businesses, Bill serves as a trusted partner for a diverse group of clients assisting with strategic planning, financial matters, leadership development, quality and efficiency efforts, growth initiatives, and more. Before founding BlackRocks Group, Bill served over three decades in operational leadership roles including CEO, President, and CFO of a midsized healthcare organization and its related affiliates. Previously, he worked in the closely held business division of a leading public accounting firm. Bill has served on over a half dozen organizations’ board of directors. These boards have ranged from a community bank board, healthcare businesses, a trade association, community service organizations, and a private equity backed concern. These experiences broaden perspectives, expand relationships, and improve the ability to help clients in their endeavors. Bill has also been involved in advocacy throughout his career. He co-led and co-author of the Michigan Auto No-Fault Rehabilitation Clinic Fee Schedule (2020) - www.mifeescheduleproject.org. This project was undertaken to provide the Michigan legislature with an alternative to a significant element of its unintended language included in PA21 of 2019, section 3157(7). In connection with advocacy work, Bill has provided testimony before various Michigan Senate and Michigan House of Representatives committees on numerous occasions, and currently serves on the Brain Injury Association of America’s Advocacy Advisory Committee.
Bill holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Michigan State University (1987) and is registered as a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Michigan (1990).
